ghiaccio chiedendole, chi è Leia Stone nel quotidiano? Ha degli hobbyes o
passioni che svolge appena può?
Grazie per avermi invitata! Sono una mamma, moglie e amante
dei cani. La mia giornata tipo è far uscire i miei figli per andare a scuola e
poi sedermi in pigiama per scrivere. Il mio hobbye è anche il mio lavoro, lo
amo e non lo considero davvero un "lavoro".
I break the ice by asking, who is Leia Stone in everyday life?
Do you have any hobbies or passions you play as soon as you can?
Thank you for having me! I am a mom, wife and dog lover. My
typical day is getting my kids out the door to school and then sitting down in
my pajamas to write. My hobbies are writing! I love my work and don’t really
consider it a “job.”

pensano che scrivere sia prima di tutto una passione e molto spesso la fatica
che c'è dietro ad ogni opera viene offuscata dal lancio di un nuovo best
seller, ma com'è davvero scandita la giornata di uno scrittore a "tempo
pieno"?
Devi essere esperto di affari per essere uno scrittore di
successo nel mondo di oggi. Lavoro a stretto contatto con il mio disegnatore di
copertine, editore e team di marketing, in modo da essere tutti sulla stessa
idea. Ma alla fine, scrivere è la mia passione e scrivo ciò che amo, non quello
che penso venderà.
Everyone thinks that writing is first of all a
passion and very often the effort behind each work is overshadowed by the
launch of a new best seller, but how is a full-time writer really scanned?
You have to be business savvy in order to be a successful writer
in today’s climate. I work very closely with my cover designer, editor and
marketing team so that we are all on the same page. But at the end of the day,
writing is my passion and I write what I love, not what I think will sell.
È risaputo che gli artisti non sono mai soddisfatti dei propri risultati e tendono sempre a cercare di essere migliori volta dopo volta... È ancora orgogliosa del suo primo romanzo? Ci racconta qual è stato e cosa è cambiato in lei come scrittrice da allora?
Sono orgogliosa ma mi viene rabbia quando leggo i miei primi
lavori. Haha, quindi è vero. Ma provo a rimanere positiva e so che sono un
essere in continua evoluzione che non è perfetto. Sono grata di fare ciò che
amo.
It is well known that artists are never
satisfied with their results and always tend to try to be better time after
time ... Are you still proud of your first novel? Tell us what was and what has
changed in you as a writer since then?
I am proud but I do cringe when I read my early works. Haha, so
that’s true. But I try to stay positive and know that I am an ever evolving
being who is not perfect. I am grateful to do what I love.
C'è
qualcuno, nella sua vita, che è stato o stata fonte di ispirazione nella
creazione di qualche personaggio? Non penso sia raro che a uno scrittore capiti
di far fare un gesto ad un suo personaggio, o di caratterizzarlo, ispirandosi a
una persona che gli sia davvero capitato di osservare.
Sì! La maggior parte dei miei personaggi principali sono io. I
miei interessi amorosi sono ispirati da mio marito ecc. Prendo sicuramente
spunto dalla vita reale.
Is there anyone in your life who has been or
been a source of inspiration in creating some character? I don't think it's
rare for a writer to make a gesture of his character, or to characterize it,
drawing inspiration from a person who has really happened to observe it.
Yes! Most of my main charecters are me. My love interests are my
husband etc. I take from real life for sure.
Quando si
intervista uno scrittore noto come le domande che non possono mancare sono
tutte quelle legate al suo ultimo lavoro, magari condite da una spolverata
piccante o frizzante di vita privata, ma quello che io mi domando davvero è:
cosa legge Leia Stone?
Adoro i libri indipendenti, quindi Jaymin Eve, KF Breene,
Kelly St Clare, ma sono un ENORME fan di Harry Potter. Questa è la serie che ha
iniziato il mio amore per la lettura 20 anni fa.
When interviewing a writer known as the
questions that cannot be missed are all those related to his latest work,

I love indie books, so Jaymin Eve, KF Breene, Kelly St Clare but
I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. That’s the series that started my love of reading
